This afternoon, an appeal court sitting at Abuja declared Atai Aidoko as winner of the
Kogi East senatorial sit. It would be
recalled that Air Vice Marshall Isaac Alfa won
the Kogi East Senatorial re-run
election that saw the APC candidate Alhaji Abdulrahaman Abubakar (Railway)
bared from contesting.
Alfa, a former Chief of Air Staff, polled 57,575 votes from
the rerun election of 23rd July, 2016 to defeat five other
candidates that contested in the rerun election.
Reports reaching us stated that Isaac Alfa was finned the
sum of 50,000.
