Do Not Relent In Your Support For Yahaya Bello, Asiwaju Urged Group


The Kogi State Commissioner of Finance and Chairman Kogi State Economic Team, Alhaji Asiru Asiwaju Idris (AAA) has encouraged members of Bello Support Group (BSO) to be patient and committed stating that in due season, each and everyone would be adequately rewarded in one way or the other. He pointed out that it was their supports and beliefs in Governor Yahaya Bello that brought about the success recorded at the primary.

Honourable Asiwaju Idris made the call at the Group's annual general meeting held in Glass House, Government House, Lokoja on Saturday 3rd December, 2016.

He equally highlighted on the areas of salaries and pensions that the governor visited the screening committee over the week and asked them to hasten up their work so that all cleared and paid workers name be made public to enable him pay everyone latest 20th December that he promised.


Asiwaju said the support of the Kogi workers and indeed that of all Kogites will go a long way in stabilising the system and make the job of the government much easier to bring back the past glory of Kogi State .

According to him, "The governor want all outstanding salaries of workers paid latest 20th December as majority of the people had been paid but they kept saying they have not, by the time names of those paid are published and made public, everyone would know." said Asiwaju.

The Commissioner equally said the governor is passionate and concerned about the plights and suffering of the people, that the 2017 budget when approved would take care of a lot of pressing issues affecting Kogites including welfare packages for the widows, senior citizens, stomach infrastructures etc at some levels, that the reward for good is good.

Speaking earlier, the National Coordinator of the group, Hajia Rakiyat Sani, stated that the general meeting was convened to enable the leaders of the group to brainstorm on repositioning the organization. She reassure the Governor of their total supports and thanked Honourable Asiwaju Idris for his unflinching support noting that the BSO was his initiative.

Other dignitaries present at the meeting are the Private Secretary to the deputy Governor ; Dr. Folashade Ayoade Arike, Secretary to Kogi State Government; Honourable Kehinde Oloruntoba, Commissioner for Budget & Planning; Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo, Director General, Media & Publicity and many others
